ZIGGY GARCIA

VISUAL CAPTION HEAD

Ziggy Garcia will be rejoining the Bomb Squad for the 2025 season as the Visual Caption Head. Previously he has worked with Arsenal as Brass Caption Head, Visual Caption head as well as Associate director. Currently, he resides in Indianapolis, Indiana teaching trumpet at multiple high schools and middle schools. Originally from El Paso Tx. Ziggy brings more than two decades of experience back to Arsenal. He has taught at all levels of the activity, from nationally ranked high schools, to winning two consecutive Soundsport titles with Rhythm in Blue, to teaching at various drum corps. He is excited to return to El Paso and to the home that he helped start and build.

ERIC BENTON

ASSISTANT VISUAL CAPTION HEAD

Eric Benton is the Assistant Band Director in Artesia, NM. Prior to this appointment, Eric earned his Master of Wind Band Conducting Degree from Oklahoma State University, a Bachelor of Music Education, and Bachelor of Music Performance (Tuba) degree from Eastern New Mexico University. A veteran of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Eric previously served as Visual Caption Head, Assistant Visual Caption Head, and Visual Tech with Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps from 2017-2022. He is excited to return to assist Ziggy Garcia in the visual caption.

TOBIN BROOKS

VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Tobin Brooks is currently a student at West Texas A&M University, he is a senior majoring in Music Education and Performance. At WT, he has participated in many ensembles including the Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Chorale, FMC Church Choir, as well as various small ensembles. Tobin has marched and been the Drum Major for the West Texas Buffalo Marching Band. His experience at WT includes performing at the 2023 National CBDNA Convention in Athens, Georgia and the 2024 TMEA Convention in San Antonio, Texas. During his college career, he has had the opportunity to serve as a Drum Major with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in the summers of 2022 and 2023, and served on the Brass Staff at Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps in 2024. Tobin is eager to experience what the 2025 season has to offer. He currently resides and lives in Canyon, Texas with his two cats, Maya and Leia.

DANIEL BERNAL

VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Daniel is a passionate music educator with a growing body of experience in the marching arts. As an alumnus of Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps, Daniel is excited to return to the corps he marched with in 2019, now contributing his knowledge and experience on the instructional staff. Before joining Arsenal, Daniel served as the instructor for the Eastlake High School Drum Major Team in El Paso, where he guided the team to a 2nd place finish in their caption. He also worked with the Santa Fe High School Marching Band in 2024, where he brought his experience to help shape the program’s success. During this time, he developed his teaching style, refining his ability to foster leadership, discipline, and excellence in young performers. Driven by a deep love for teaching and collaborating through music and the marching arts, Daniel believes in the transformative power of these disciplines. He is passionate about helping students develop focus, maturity, and confidence—qualities that extend far beyond the field and can shape their lives in profound ways.

OLIVIA BENTON

VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Olivia Benton is from Artesia, New Mexico where she currently serves as the Assistant Choir Director for both Artesia Junior High and High School. Olivia pursued her education at Eastern New Mexico University, where she graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. In her free time, Olivia enjoys playing the flute, delving into books, and embarking on adventures with her husband, Eric.

JENNA HENSLEY

VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Jenna, born and raised in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is a dedicated and passionate individual with a diverse background in music, animal care, and athletics. She played tuba from 2011 to 2019, serving as a section leader for the Rio Rancho High School marching band. In 2017 and 2018, she marched with Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps, where she contributed to the corps’ foundation during its early years. Currently, Jenna works as a veterinary technician, driven by a deep passion for animal care. Outside of her career, she enjoys playing rugby, where she embraces the teamwork and discipline the sport requires. Jenna’s experiences in music, animal care, and athletics have shaped her leadership, compassion, and perseverance, qualities she looks forward to bringing back to Arsenal to help the corps continue to exceed expectations.
