THE AUDITION PROCESS
After registering, you’ll receive an audition packet specific to your section, including exercises and practice materials designed to prepare you for your audition.
We strongly encourage everyone to attend one of our in-person audition camps, where you’ll receive direct instruction from our staff and experience what Arsenal is all about.
If traveling isn’t immediately possible, video auditions are available and are an excellent first step. Our staff will review your submission, provide personalized feedback, and help determine the next step in your audition journey.
Our goal isn’t simply to evaluate you—we want to help you improve.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Your audition materials include everything you need to prepare for a successful audition, including:
- Section-specific warmups and technique exercises
- Music excerpts
- Practice guides
- Audition expectations
- Staff feedback throughout the audition process
Whether you’re auditioning for brass, percussion, or color guard, you’ll have the tools needed to prepare with confidence.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Getting started is easy:
- Register for Arsenal Boot Camp.
- Download your audition packet.
- Begin preparing using the provided materials.
- Submit a video audition (optional, if available).
- Register for an upcoming audition camp.
- Attend camp and continue your journey toward membership.
AUDITION RESULTS
After your audition or video submission, you may receive one of several outcomes:
Membership Offer
You’ve earned a contract for the 2027 Arsenal Drum & Bugle Corps. Contracted members will continue attending scheduled rehearsal camps leading into spring training.
Callback Invitation
Our staff sees strong potential and would like to continue working with you at another audition or rehearsal event before making a final decision.
Continued Development
You may be asked to continue improving using the audition materials before attending another camp later in the audition season.
Future Recommendation
If we believe another season of preparation will better position you for success, we’ll provide honest feedback and encourage you to continue developing. We want every performer to succeed, even if the timing isn’t quite right.
CAMP REGISTRATION
All audition camp attendees must register in advance.
Specific schedules, packing lists, and event information will be released prior to each camp. Please monitor your email and our social media for updates.
If you have conflicts with camp dates, let us know. Communication is important, and we’ll work with you whenever possible.
BEFORE CAMP
Prior to attending your first in-person event, you’ll complete:
- Membership Application
- Medical Forms
- Liability Waivers
- Required Participant Information
Completing these ahead of time helps make check-in quick and easy.

Communication throughout the audition season is essential, and we want to make sure you never miss an important announcement.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Many of our members travel from across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, and beyond.
If you’re traveling from out of town, we’ll provide recommended airports, arrival windows, and transportation information for each camp as details become available.
Need help getting to camp? Reach out to us. Our staff and Arsenal family are always willing to help coordinate rides whenever possible.
